Bayerische Motoren Werke Aktiengesells chaft or Bavarian Motor Works popularly known as BMW is a German automobile company founded in 1917.
The logo is pretty simple yet elegant and has almost remained the same since company has started working. The black line along with silver lining has BMW which are the initials of the company inscribed in it. The circle is then divided into four quarters, two blue and two white which were taken from the Bavarian National Flag. Roundel is the name given to BMW trademark which was registered by the company in 1917.
